Heather Jones
Hey, y’all! My name is Heather Jones, and I am currently finishing up my last semester at Texas Tech University. This is such a bittersweet time for me, as I am trying to soak in my final days as an undergraduate student while getting ready to begin law school in the fall. I am so honored to have been chosen to write for MKD Publishing’s magazines. Writing has always been a passion of mine, so I am hopeful that readers will enjoy what I have to say in my articles.

Hi!! My name is Tori Jaurrieta and I am a current student at Texas Tech University studying photojournalism. I have such a strong passion for letting my creativity shine through in my photography and take the reader on an adventure through my writing. My dream is to become a photojournalist for metropolitan companies where I can grow as both a photographer and a writer. I am so beyond grateful that I was able to write for this magazine as well as be as creative as I wanted!

Hi there. I’m Miranda. I am a local photographer, web designer, and dog mom. I have my own photography business, Miranda Stabler Photography. I design the articles and do upkeep on the Lubbock Home & Family Magazine. I hope you enjoy the articles!
Melody Dawes
Melody owns MKD Publishing which produces Lubbock’s Home & Family Magazine, Weddings by Wendy Rose, and a variety of other works for local authors. She has been in the publishing arena for over almost 30 years and loves every aspect of it. Melody is the proud mother of three grown children, and the grandmother of 12 wonderful grandkids. She grew up in Lubbock and loves the strong and independent spirit that our city is known for.
