Five First Dance Songs That You Will Fall In Love With

By Megan Zapalac

Ohhhhhhh……..that first dance as husband and wife!  Can you just imagine the feeling even now?  Your first dance song is an important part of your wedding reception.  It sets the mood of your wedding and will be you and your spouse’s song that you two will think about when you look back on your wedding.  This is why you need to choose one that speaks to the two of you and creates a sense of lifelong love and happiness.  If you have not made that decision yet, may we offer these suggestions?

  1. “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” by Elvis Presley, is a timeless piece that some would say is the epitome of love.
  2. “At Last,” by Etta James is another timeless song that could have even been your grandparent’s first dance song creating a sense of foreverness.
  3. “How Long Will I Love You,” by Ellie Goulding is a newer song that speaks about timeless love and eternal commitment.

4. “Nothing Else Matters,” by Metallica is a good option for your rockers out there or those who want something different.

5. “A Thousand Years,” by Christina Perri, a song made popular by the Twilight Saga, talks about waiting for the love of your life and finally meeting them and sharing love for an eternity.
