Every woman has a unique shape and size which can make choosing bridesmaid's dresses challenging. We have laid out a few ground rules designed to help you select the right dress for your special gals!
If you prefer your bridesmaids to wear the same dress, stick with a maxi or A-line dress as these are flattering on most figures. Black and nude colors tend to be more slimming so are always popular choices. Find dresses that have a structure or consider a slip dress designed to fit curvy, slim and bustier body types.
Another option would be to have each person in your bridal party wear the same color but select their own style of dress. For example, one bridesmaid may be wearing a floor length dress, while another may be wearing a short, off the shoulder dress. Women with pear shaped figures look great in strap A-line dresses. Those with a larger bust tend to look best in one shoulder, scoop neck, or crossover neckline dresses. For my tall friends we recommend silhouette type dresses and v-neck, strapless, or high neck dresses for our petite ladies. Curvy women stand out in cap sleeve dresses or dresses with detail at the waist.
